This is the annual membership meeting containing the reports from the President, Treasurer & Facilities Manager. Several volunteers are honored and our new board members are sworn in. Finally members of the audience are offered the chance to give their views and to ask questions. Among the subjects discuss are the agreements with WCI concerning the golf courses, code enforcement on the North course, resent renovations on the Atrium and fitness center repairs. this meeting President Ed Barnes updated the membership on a number of
items including but not limited to the golf cart path to Walmart, Golf
course negotiations and Atrium improvements.

At
this Town Hall Meeting, Board President Ed Barnes gives a 20 minute
presentation on the possible purchase of one or more of the three golf
courses now offered for sale by WCI. President Barnes carefully outlines
what we currently know about the courses and how the purchase of these
courses could affect the future of our association. These courses could
be an asset to the community or spell the end to life in our association
as we know it, so it behooves everyone to pay very close attention to
this subject.

Hodges spotlights the SCCCA Meet the Candidates night. Four members of
the association are vying for the three board positions. This was the
first time this event has been aired and, to date, more than four times
the number of people who saw it live have watched it on their computer.

Hodges spotlights John “Woody” Nelson, candidate for the Board of
Directors of the Sun City Center Community Association.
We interviewed him as a test of this new way for getting
information out to the association membership. We hope that candidates
in future election campaigns will avail themselves of this method for
reaching CA members.
