Hi Neighbor! is a Sun City Center (Florida) Community Association annual event. It allows residents and guests to interact with reps from area clubs and organizations. Hundreds of people attended the November 5, 2009, event.

all who attended the
On March 25 several hundred volunteers from Sun City Center came together
to help commemorate the first counting of community service hours by spelling
out SCC 2008 Volunteers in a photograph taken by James Corwin Johnson. Bill
Hodges Spotlights Ballroom Dance Performance by Scott and Sarah Coates Scott and Sarah Coates performed at the Sun City Center
Moonglow Dance Club in Sun City Center, Florida, on April 23. The Coates
competitive dancers and have won numerous championships. They reside in
Tampa where they are active in business and philanthropic activities.
This is a quick tour of FunFest which is the largest Sun City Center,
Florida, community event. It is held annually and draws between 7000 and 8000
people from surrounding communities. During its duration, four entertainment
venues continually feature a variety of performers. Along with a variety of SCC
residents ranging from clogging to German folk dancing, there are popular
entertainers such The Dukes; the dynamic duo of Kelly Emerson and Gary Garbelman
(The KEGG); Elvis impersonator Bill Lindsey; Rachael Kroog, a talented singer
and ventriloquist; and the area's two performing arts groups, Pelican Players
and Performing Arts Club. FunFest also features an extensive health fair and
displays by Lowry Park Zoo, Southeastern Guide Dogs, an array of SCC clubs and
80 vendors/sponsors.
Bill Hodges Spotlights the Sun City
Center Community Association Holiday Walk which showcased the various clubs and
provided a fun-filled event with displays, entertainment and food.
This video by mid-January has been opened on the web over 8,000 times and
has been sent all over the world by our residents to family and friends to show
them how wonderful this season can be without snow. Enjoy the Holiday Walk and
feel free to share it with your friends.

bluegrass great Kelly Emerson and then spotlights his talent with several songs.
Kelly plays with such greats as Ron Block and rising stars Sierra Hull and the
Walker brothers. Kelly Emerson’s Bluegrass Extravaganza was held in the SCCCA
Rollins Theater which has been newly remodeled under the direction of the
Performing Arts club.

& Laurie Collett who are ballroom dance champions, performers, and owners of
Rhapsody Ballroom,
Bill Hodges spotlights dance instructors Bernice and Art May performing
a Silver Waltz routine that Bernice choreographed. It was performed at the SCCCA
Academy of Ballroom Dance Club as a
special intermission show.
Bill Hodges spotlights ballroom dancers Carl and Lelia
Blevins at the SCCCA Moonglow Ballroom Dance Club. They will perform the Bolero,
Cha Cha and Rumba as a special intermission show. It should be noted that
because of our knowledgeable and appreciative ballroom dance club members that
many internationally recognized performers like Carl and Lelia find our ballroom
clubs a great place to demonstrate their skills.

and Waltz. Demonstrations by this dance pair have led to numerous standing
ovations from our club members. This demonstration is part
of the intermission in an evening of dance presented at the SCCCA Academy
of Ballroom Dance club.
Bill Hodges spotlights ballroom dancers Mike and Beth
Nolan at the SCCCA Moonglow Ballroom Dance Club. They will perform the following
dances in this order: Viennese Waltz, Silver Waltz, Tango, Fox Trot and
Quickstep. They are amateurs by designation but they dance is a very
professional style. Events like this are what makes our ballroom dance clubs so
special.

Ballroom Dance Club in Sun City Center. Joe Tarara is a very talented amateur
dancer and Bernice May is a professionally certified dance instructor.
